Police station advice
If the Police arrest you, issue a summons, charge you or advise you that you are a suspect, it is imperative that you get legal advice without delay. This can make a significant difference in the outcome of a case and so you should wait until advice is obtained.
Your solicitor will obtain details of the allegation against you, be able to assess the evidence and advise you on the consequence so your options so that you can make an informed decision and protect your rights’. You must remember that police interviews are recorded and so it is important that you get it right.
You will be advised of your rights and entitlements whilst in the police station and we will be able to advise you on the progress of the investigation. We will basically be the link between the police and you.

The outcome of a Police Interview
After an interview the Police will make a decision whether to charge you with an offence, release under investigation, give you bail or take no further action against you. Fig there are bail conditions we can work on your behalf to challenge or vary them. we are also able to keep you up to date as to how the investigation is progressing.
If you have already been interviewed and have been bailed or released under investigation, we can still work with you to ensure that you get the best possible outcome.
We can make written representations to the police to review and drop the investigation against you.

Being released under investigation means that you have been released pending any possible charges. You are not on Police bail but the investigation is ongoing.
- You may be required to attend the Police Station for further interview
- You may be recalled and charged/rearrested
- You may be summoned to appear before the court
- You may be notified of no further action
